Joe P. Jackson
GAFFNEY, SC-- Joe Perry Jackson, 81, of 213 New Pleasant Road, Gaffney, and formerly of Woodruff, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Magnolia Manor of Spartanburg.
A native of Cross Anchor, he was the son of the late James Richard and Iber Davis Jackson and the husband of the late Naomi Sumner Jackson.
He was a retired employee of Her Majesty, and a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Era.
Mr. Jackson is survived by a daughter, Sondra Cudd and her husband, Robert; special companion and caregiver, Melba Hubert; three grandchildren, Brian Peahuff, Kara Peahuff Bradley, and Gina Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Sydnee, Grayson, and Granthan.
He is also predeceased by an infant son, Frank Richard Jackson; five sisters; and six brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Green Pond Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors, officiated by Rev. Carrol Caldwell.
Visitation will immediately follow the graveside service.
The family is at the home of his daughter on 195 Conamera Lane, Woodruff.
