William M. 'Billy' Wingo
MOORE-- William M. Wingo, 79, husband of Faye Hammett Wingo, died Friday, May 18, 2018.
Billy was born on July 24, 1938 to the late Archie Victor and Lillian Sizemore Wingo. He was graduate of Fairforest High School, class of 1956, retired from Community Cash after 46 years of service and then worked for Phoenix Racing for 10 years. Billy was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donnie Wingo (Kim) of Mooresville, NC, Jeff Wingo (Tammy) of Pauline; a daughter, Tina W. Scales of Moore; a sister, Nancy W. Cheatwood (Buddy) of Moore; sister in law, Cathy Wingo of Moore; and a brother in law, Neal Roberson of Greenwood.
Billy was blessed with six grandchildren, Erin Wingo, Coleman Wingo, Colby Scales, Clayton Scales, Emily Wingo, and Casey Wingo.
He was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Wingo; and a sister, Linda W. Roberson.
The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home; 690 Southport Rd., Roebuck, SC 29376
A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Bethlehem Baptist Church; 797 Old Georgia Rd., Moore, SC 29369
Interment will follow immediately in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home; 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303 or Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund; 797 Old Georgia Rd., Moore, SC 29369
