Colleen WILLIAMSON Obituary

September 12, 1964 - November 11, 2024

Spokane Valley - Colleen Is now with the Lord.

Surrounded by her family, Colleen (O'Connor) Williamson passed away at MultiCare Valley Hospital on Monday, November 11, 2024, in Spokane Valley, WA. She was born September 12, 1964, in Tacoma, Pierce County, WA, to Alan and Shizuko "Suzy" (Shimabukuro) O'Connor. She graduated in 1983 from Medical Lake High School, where she played the flute in band and was involved in the R.O.T.C. program. She was married to the love of her life, Vencile "Lee" Allen Williamson, December 5, 1986, in Spokane, WA. They were well matched for each other and built a beautiful life together.

Loved by all, she was a gentle, unjudgmental soul who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will especially be missed. She always spoke from the heart and was a no-nonsense person. She was an avid reader and a science fiction nerd. She loved her shows and her cat, Josie. She enjoyed antique shopping and was an active member of the Spokane Garden Club. She was the best daughter, devoted wife, sister, friend, and aunt anyone could ever have. Having no children of her own, she built her own loving family out of her extended family and friends. There were times she looked after the family like a mother. She was a good role model and impacted many lives.

In addition to her loving husband, Lee, of 38 years and her parents, Colleen is survived by her brother, Tabo (Jodie) O'Connor; sister, Angela (John) Merritt; nephews, Travis O'Connor, Joseph O'Connor, and Charles (Ally) Williamson; and nieces, Christine O'Connor, Molly (Alex) Painter, and Ashlea Roberts. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Chuck (Wendy) Williamson, and sister-in-law, Monica (Jim) Gyarfas.

At Colleen's request, a private viewing and family-only gravesite gathering will be held at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be sent to the Pleasant Prairie Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 13503, Spokane Valley, WA, 99213.

Melodee Ross - Williamson - Crull

November 21, 2024

Last I was in her presence a few years ago, Colleen had planned we stay overnight. She was proud for us to see her home, of course filled with Elvis and sweet fairies everywhere. Colleen bore only sweetness and kindness during that visit. I remember her smile and hugs. Warm and sincere. She was kind to me. Childlike Wonder, you most certainly will be missed. Singing with the angels praises to her King. Love, Melodee
