Frances DOBRENSKI Obituary

November 24, 1944 - December 3, 2023

A never-ending positivity for Love and Life. Frankie Dobrenski, 79, of Spokane, WA, passed away at family cabin in Pend Oreille County, WA, on December 3, 2023.

Born in 1944, Frances Jane Borges-Silva, of Portland, OR, the loving daughter of Edward Borges-Silva and Sybil Violet Quire. The second oldest of six children, "Frankie" would often reflect fondly on family trips to the coast for fishing, hearing her father sing, and growing up with a strong work ethic. She worked in service-oriented positions all her life, it was as a caregiver, she was told by one of her clients she needed to be "getting her hands licensed". If anyone has had the privilege to have bodywork done by Frankie, you know this is true.

Frankie met the love of her life, Jerry Dobrenski in 1970 on a blind date. After six weeks they were married. When they bought their first house, she loved spending every moment she had in the yard, creating a peaceful wonderland, Jerry often having to call her in for breaks. Later in life they enjoyed going out with their friends on the weekend, singing karaoke and dancing.

Frankie was preceded in death by Edward Jerome Dobrenski, her soulmate and loving husband. She is survived by her brother Edward Borges-Silva, sister Mary Day, daughter Patty Taboada and her husband Alberto Taboada, daughter Khava Dobrenski and her partner Kevin Stainer, son Peter Dobrenski, son Eric Dobrenski and his wife Paige Dobrenski, as well grandchildren Taylor Dobrenski, Quintin Dobrenski, and his wife Cassandra Dobrenski, Brandon Morris, Kristi Mize and her husband Ricky Mize, Marc Morris and his wife Annie Morris, Danielle Garroutte and her husband Ryan Garroutte, Hunter Dobrenski, Trinity Reed, Garrett Schroder, great-grandchildren, Maxamilian Dobrenski, Maverick Dobrenski, Sophia Dobrenski, Kyleah Garroutte, Whyatt Garroutte, Diana Spencer, Mackenzie Ipsen, Lana Morris, Koda Morris, Nathan Stolley, one great-great-grandchild, Dutton Ramel, as well as countless extended family- cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who all knew her Love.

While Mom had many friends, Susie Surface was Frankie's best friend from preschool and were practically inseparable throughout their lives. Frankie was also practically a sister to Corrine White, an extended family member.

Frankie will always be remembered for her positive energy. We'll always imagine hearing her say "Another day in paradise" or "It's all about love" one more time. We couldn't have asked for a better Mom and will miss her every day. Frankie's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Frankie was my sister-in-law; living half the country apart we didn't see her often. But what a treat when we did! She remains one of the coolest people I've ever had the honor to know. She's been waiting to join Jerry again and I'm glad they're back together.
Miss you both - love you both,
M J

Frankie was a wonderful loving caregiver for my mother Eleanor (Scottie) Rutherford for may years. Weekly bodywork/massages and then took mom out to lunch each week. Frankie was terrific. I was hoping she'd be around for me. My condolences to all of her family
