Joann HAPPY Obituary
Attending the University of Washington in 1950 she met John Happy, Jr., and after he returned from the service they were married on July 25, 1953.
Living in Spokane thereafter they raised three children, John III, Gayle, and Jeffrey. Joann was a most caring mother, a loving wife, and a dear friend to many.
During her lifetime she was a docent at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, a member of the Junior League of Spokane, and a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
Joann is survived by her husband, John; two children John III (Theresa) and Jeffrey; her sister Marilyn Pratt (David); grandchildren Anna Randall (Matt), John Dehn (Alyse), Jamie Garbien (Paul) and Christopher Happy; and great-grandchildren Aaron and Noelle Randall, and David Dehn. Preceding her in death are her daughter, Gayle Happy Dehn, and her brother, Dale Thackston.
Any remembrance may be made to the Life River Fellowship Food Bank, or to a charity of your choice.
Joann's memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, August 13th, at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane.
