John ELLIOTT Obituary

ELLIOTT, John Robert (Age 80) Of Newport, WA passed away November 3, 2014 at his home in Newport. John was born in Spokane, WA July 29, 1934. John grew up in his family home in Spokane. He attended Rogers High School. After high school he was serving in the Naval Reserves when he was drafted into the Army. John raised his children in the same family home as he grew up in Hillyard, WA. John was a life member of the NRA, a community rep for the RMEF Pend Oreille County Chapter, a member of the Transportation, Communication International Union, Eagles 3343 and an active member of The American Legion Post 217. John is survived by his brothers Tim and Frank Elliott; daughters Susan Elliott and Shelli Hacker; son Stacy Elliott; his grandchildren Cayla Plybon, Daja Prickett, Jason Kettenton, Cameron Kohn and Skylar Lambert; great-grandchildren Haden, Jahteya, Leighlend, Ajahd and Jordae. He is also survived by many other family and friends. John enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising dogs and rabbits. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1PM at the Newport Cemetery. SHERMAN-KNAPP FUNERAL HOME in NEWPORT, WA is in charge of arrangements.
