John STONE Obituary
(Age 76)
John passed away on December 5th, 2023, at Spokane Valley, WA, after a recent illness. John was born November 24,1947, in Tulsa, OK, to John O. Stone Jr and Joanne (Sommer) Stone. He grew up & attended school in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
After a brief, youthful marriage, he met and married his second wife, Carol. Eventually, his life led him to his loving friend and companion of 20+ years, Julie. He worked many jobs over the years, mainly in the construction and logging industry. His outgoing personality was well-suited to his counter and outside sales positions.
John loved to travel and he visited several exciting locales in North America, over the years. He also loved the local music scene and made many lifelong friends with the talented musicians and crews. This passion led him to meet and befriend several touring Country music stars. He had a spirited Love of Life and these friendships were cherished memories. His passing has created an empty space in our hearts that will never be filled. He will be missed dearly and we will have to take solace in our loving memories of our happy times together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joanne Stone, and his younger sister, Amy Stone.
He is survived by Julie Seybold of Spokane Valley, WA, his son, Chad A Stone, grandson, Michael Stone and 3 great-grandsons, all of Everett/Snohomish, WA, and his sister, Nancy Skellenger, (Dan) of Otis Orchards, WA, also several nieces and nephews.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to his friends at Opportunity Manor, especially, his neighbor, Patti, for all her support during his time there. It is greatly appreciated.
In addition, we would also like to thank the First Responders: the EMTs of AMR110 and the SVFD, for their quick response to his emergency. Lastly, the family would like to thank all of the wonderful doctors and caregivers at Multicare Valley Hospital for their compassionate care of John during this difficult time.
Pacific Northwest Cremation is in charge of the funeral arrangements. A get together to celebrate and share memories will be scheduled at a later time.
For You, John…
