Mickey was my step-great-grandfather. To me he was "Papa Mickey." Even though I didn't see him that often, he never failed to make me laugh and smile. I now often visit my grandma Alice where she tells me stories of when papa Mickey was sheriff or there weekend fishing trips and all sorts of things from when he was alive. He was a great man and is dearly missed.

Micky was a very good friend of my parents, Carl & Marjorie Cirullo. I remember as a little girl, he gave me a ride in his police motorcycle side car (just up & down our street) & as a teenager with no ride home from the football game at Joe Albert Stadium he gave me a ride home in his police car. Very nice man. I knew his son Mike, who I lost touch with. Would love to say hello, so Mike, if you happen to read this hello!

My parents (Orrin and Wanda Tyler) spoke highly of Mickey all of the days of their married lives. I was just a small child when Mickey made such an impression on me to "be good" and "do good in the world." Never will I forget him helping my oldest brother learn how to throw a football, as our own dad despised sports and had no idea of even what to do with a football. Forever will I remember Mickey's kind mannerisms. May you find comfort in knowing he left such positive impressions upon people that still hold true to this day even 50+ years later, and the thought that he is in eternal glory. God bless you all. So sorry for the family's loss.
When I was first married in 1971 Mickey was a neighbor of mine on Buffalo St. in Spokane, WA. The neighborhood was pretty peaceful back then since we had a Police Officer on our short street.

It was an honor to have worked for Mickey at the Mineral County Sheriff's Office. He was a gentle soul who really cared about the community and worked hard to keep it safe. He was one of a kind and I am a better person for having known him.

Mickey was special. I enjoyed working with him during his term as sheriff and just visiting with him wherever I met up with he and Alice. Love to the family.

Mickey was a dear friend and mentor, from our Friday night dinner and pinochle games with Alice, Ralph, Mickey and me, for 30 years, to our mutual law enforcement careers in Mineral County, coffee at Superior Drug with “the boys “, and ice fishing at Finley Flats!!! He took great pride in the construction of the new law enforcement center that we worked so hard to get. He was like a grandpa to our kids, and especially liked Caitlin who was a Griz fan- he even gave her his Griz letterman jacket which she wore to a Griz football game! Our whole family loved Mickey. We will hold Mickey in our hearts forever. Anita Parkin, Superior, MT
