Oscar SCHELL Obituary

SCHELL, Oscar Leon (Age 79) went into the arms of our Lord on Feb. 4 2015 with his loving family by his side. He was born on Aug. 24th 1935 to Fred and Caroline Schell in Baker MT where he lived until he joined the army. He then moved to Spokane in 1966 to attend Kinmen Business University. He earned his degree in accounting and started working for Kreager construction as an office manager. He also met the love of his life at this time Irene (Sparky) and they got married Oct. 18 1968. He then went to work for Strenstrom Contruction for a short period of time and moved on to Casper & Magara construction which he retired from after 27 years. He loved to work. When he wasn't working in the office he was working on his yard at home or at his summer home (the river place). He loved boating, traveling and helping his kids and grandchildren. He was always there for them no matter what they needed and never said no to helping them. After he retired he became a volunteer van driver at Corbin Senior Center. He drove on many trips and took his walking group weekly. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years Irene, sister Arlene and husband Larry; son Glenn and wife Jan; daughter Debbie; daughter-in-law Yolanda; seven grandkids and nine great-grandkids. Preceded in death by parents Fred and Caroline Schell and son Timothy. He was kind and gentle, hardworking and generous and was always there for family and friends. He will be greatly missed every day but his legacy will go on for generations to come. A special thanks to the kindness and care at Holy Family Hospital, Manor Care, Gentiva, Royal Park and the Hospice House. Also thanks to Dr. Jeffrey O'Connor for 30+ years of exceptional medical care with a personal touch. Visitation will be on Friday, February 13th from 10 am to 5 pm. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 14th 11 am at Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held following at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Irene and family I have such fond memories of Oscar. He was always there to offer help even when I found it hard to accept. I could not have asked for a better neighbor. Of course one of my fondest memories was of Jordan's first words "Osca Lites", funny most children say Mom or Dad. Oscar your lite will live on in the hearts of all that loved you.

Grandpa, you were always there for me when I needed help with anything, you never asked for anything in return or said no. I have far too many great memories to even list, I learned so much from you and all the skills you taught me has sure helped with life. I can only hope that I could be at least half the man that you were to me for my son, I will pass everything I learned from you on to him. (Just hope he learns to follow the advice sooner then I did)

Love you always, and you will always be in my thoughts and heart, Kalon (big boy)
