Scott PERRY Obituary

In Memory of Scott Randall Perry (52) who passed away on September 21, 2022. Scott was born on March 12th, 1970 to George and Kathy Perry in Pullman WA. As a young child, Scott lived in both Colfax and Bellevue before moving to Spokane. As a child, he liked to play soccer as well as hunt and fish and he loved his dog Fluffy.

His mom says he always liked to build stuff in the backyard with his friends. As Scott aged, he became more interested in auto mechanics and technology. His first computer was a commodore 64. Scott was a member of The Boy Scouts of America where he earned his Eagle Scout. He was a graduate of Gonzaga Preparatory School in 1988. He attended some college but that just wasn't for him. Scott was a self-taught mechanic and one of his first jobs was working for Napa AutoParts. He worked his way from the bottom up. Soon he was given the privilege of managing his store. In 1996 received an award for outstanding performance and a record amount of monthly sales.

In 2001 Scott decided that he wanted to do more than just sell car parts he wanted to repair cars, one day he decided that he wanted his own repair shop. He cashed in his 401K, got a business license, found a building, and off he went. Scott earned his ASE (Automotive Service of Excellence). He ran a successful business for a few years. Because of a chain of unfortunate circumstances, he was forced to close his business In 2005 Scott took a job with The Community Colleges of Spokane where He spent the next 13 years working. In January 2011 he was awarded The Outstanding Achievement Award for his excellent services. In January 2017 he was forced into early retirement because of a serious health condition. That didn't stop him! He continued to fix anything and everything.

He is survived by his parents George and Kathy Perry, his wife Chanel, son John Thomas and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Stacia Perry, two uncles, and both sets of grandparents.

Rest in peace, my love. I will always love and miss you forever.

There will be a service on Saturday, October 15 2:00 at Sunset Chapel located at 5200 W Wellesley Spokane, reception will follow at 4:00 pm at Inland Northwest Wildlife Council which is located at 6116 N. Market Spokane WA.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. Scott was a very friendly person that was always willing to help anyone. He was easy to strike up a conversation with and always approachable. He always had stories to tell, and he was very close to his son. He will be missed.

I will always remember Scott's big smile, friendly personality, wit and his beautiful and immaculate blue truck. He was a so talented in fixing automotive and computer problems which i called him many times for help with.

My condolences to his family and may memories of him somehow help to fill the void.
