KEITHLEY, Tommy Ray and Jackilyn Rae It is with great sadness that the family of Tommy "Tom" Ray Keithley and Jackilyn "Jackie" Rae Keithley announce their passing. Tom (82) passed away December 3, 2019, and Jackie (83) passed away October 31, 2020, both in Boise. Tom was born in Kansas. His family moved to the Pacific Northwest when he was a young child. Jackie was born in Washington state. They first met when they were 5 years old, and Tom asked Jackie to marry him! Tom's family moved around Washington over the next 10 years and back to Oroville for his senior year of high school. He and Jackie started dating and went to Washington State College together. They secretly married on October 22, 1955 in Idaho. On September 13, 1957, they had a public wedding ceremony in Oroville, WA. In 1960, Tom graduated with a degree in Pharmacy and Jackie graduated with a Home Economics degree. They moved to Walla Walla so Tom could begin his pharmacist's career with the State Penitentiary. Their first son, Gregory, was born in Pullman and their second son, Douglas, was born in Walla Walla. They moved to Oroville to help on the Robinson ranch and ended up purchasing the local Rexall Drug store and running it until an arsonist burned it down in 1976. They then moved to Spokane. Tom worked for Group Health, Walmart, and Safeway. Jackie built up a thriving Shaklee business. They retired to Rathdrum, Idaho, later relocating to Liberty Lake and ultimately Boise, ID to be near their son Doug. They were predeceased by parents, siblings, and their son, Greg. They are survived by their son Doug (Lisa), grandchildren Nathan Keithley, Grandon Keithley, Amy Petersen (Jared), and great grandson, Henry Petersen. Please join us for a funeral service at the Rathdrum Cemetery, Rathdrum, Idaho on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
