Family-Placed Obituary
MAURER, Joy Jean 59, of Urbana, died Wednes day, February 22, 2006 at 7:15 am in Es sex Nursing Home. She was born in Springfield, Ohio, on December 30, 1946, the daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth (Armer) Eichman. Joy was employed by Dr. Cindy Ahern as a licensed optician for over 15 years. Before this, she was a beautician. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Carl David Maurer; son, Randy (Nikki) Maurer of Springfield; daughter, Minda (Gary) Schomburg of Springboro; grandchildren, Tyler, Dustin, Sierra, Beau, Lexie, Matheu and Adam; brother, Milton (Mary O'Brien) Eichman; sisters-in-law, Judy (David) Woods and Patty (Roger) Clum. Joy was preceded in death by her father, Reuben J Eichman. Friends may call Sunday, February 26, 2006, at the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, N. Limestone St., from 5-8 pm. Services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2006, at 1:30. Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
