Dear Pam , Dan, Peter, Lisa and Joyce
I am so saddened at Freds Passing. Growing up with the Lenz's and Slavins indeed sculpted who I am today. 40 plus years of friendship Pamela, and all because your Dad brought you to our neighborhood all those years ago..
I will never forget his beautiful blue eyes and knowing smile. He was always able to cajole us kids into doing what he asked just by flashing that smile! Remember how he always got us to stop what we were doing and go to Confession at 4'oclock on Sat afternoons?
He was a great Man, and I am Blessed to have known him for all these years.
May he rest in Peace and May God ease your sadness.
Much Love, Adrienne Rea

So sorry to hear about your loss. My dad's been gone for 18 years already but when I think of Fred and Elmer together I can only smile. I can hear the sirens on the Mayor's car as it drove down Estero Boulevard in Florida, I can still see my dad's "sewer 1" license plate that he proudly displayed after Fred's nomination. I remember recording the radio spots. Those guys had so much fun together! Lots of late nights, lots of laughs, lots of fun! 87 years old. Amazing. I'm so sorry I did such a lousy job at staying in touch. God Bless Him and I hope you all find comfort and strength in each other to help you through what I'm sure is a very difficult time.
peace,

Dear Lisa, Pam, Peter and Danny,
Remembering your father brings such a smile to my face and joy to my heart. I can't help but hum "Cece My Playmate."
I was so blessed to have grown up as your neighbor and friend and to have known your father's warmth, concern, and good humor.
It was wonderful when he became Mayor of Stamford. And I was so proud when he appointed my father as Commissioner of Public Works. I remember Dad telling wonderful stories of the good that your father and his administration did for Stamford and its citizens.
Wishing you all peace and love on the journey ahead.

I was sorry to read that Fred had passed away. My sincere condolences to his family. I had just started a year or more with the city, when Fred became Mayor. He was very likable and considerate to all. He made a good Mayor. He will be in our prayers.

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help push away the pain and bring back the smiles. My sincerest sympathy in your lost. May the peace of God guard your heart and give you comfort in these difficult days.

Dear Family,
I am sorry that Frederick passed away. I too have lost loved ones in death. What has given me comfort are the words in the Bible that tell us that soon "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:28,29)
Yes, you loved one can live again on a paradise earth. I hope this has given you comfort in your time of sorrow.
Sincerely,
