Carl Barley Obituary

BARLEY, Carl M. Jr.
Age 59, of 115 Dewitt Ave., Elmira, NY, passed away June 5, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital, Elmira, NY. He was born February 28, 1948 in Lancaster, PA, the son of Carl M. and Grace Litner Barley Sr. He had previously worked at the State Hospital for Crippled Children, Elizabethtown, PA, as a nursing assistant and was an avid volunteer. He is survived by sons, John R. Barley and Jennifer Cary, Knoxville, PA, James E. Barley and Kimberly Puvel, Middlebury Center, PA; grandchildren, Sydney Barley and Skyler Cary; brother, Charles Barley, Annville, PA; sisters, Grace Appel, Pequea, PA, Maryann Barley, Lancaster, PA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to call at the Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Elkland, PA, Saturday, where memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Larry O'Dell, offc. Burial will be in Middlebury Union Cemetery, Middlebury, PA.

Carl was a wonderful person I knew for 16 years. I will miss him dearly, he was my best friend and like family to my family.
It is sad to see you go my friend.
