Jeffrey Walther Obituary
Age 54 of Ridge Road Horseheads, NY passed away on Friday March 7, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira, NY. Private Funeral Services will be held at the Lynch Funeral Home 318 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY at the convenience of the family with Pastor Joe Zaino officiating. Jeff will be laid to rest next to his beloved mother June R. Walther in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY. The family will provide their own flowers and those wishing may remember Jeff through memorial contributions to an Educational Scholarship Fund for his son Dylan c/o Mrs. Karen S. Walther 270 Ridge Road Horseheads, NY 14845.

I was told about Jeff's passing by a friend that still lives in Horseheads. I still remember Jeff's Village Arco on South Main St and going there and just hanging out as a kid about 8 yrs old. I remember the black Ford pick up with the hand done pin striping and also his old red wrecker. One of Jeff's friends drove a green Peterbuilt truck and would park at the station. He gave me a ride in it one time and that was my first ride in a big truck. As a kid I was thrilled. I remember his german shepard he brought from NJ with him too. We moved away from South Main before he closed that station and opened the Sunoco on Mircle Mile. I wonder where the old wrecker is now? Used to be down in Elmira someplace. Jeff will be missed by many around Horseheads. He worked on my family members cars and trucks more than one time.
I read the other posts and its kinda funny seeing someone post from Lake Wales FL where we have friends. I guess Horseheads isnt so small after all anymore.
RIP Jeff, you made me remember some good times in HHDS as a kid.
