Joseph Conz Obituary
Age 46, passed away unexpectedly in San Francisco CA on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Joe was born in Elmira, a son of Norma (Dye) Conz of Elmira and the late Richard H. Conz. Joe is also predeceased by brother Robert H. Conz and sisters, Edith A. Conz and Barbara Jean Sparling. In addition to his mother he is survived by brother and sister-in-law William J. and Bobbie Conz of Horseheads; sister Maria Bennett of Elmira; special friend Chyllene VanHouton Agan of Elmira; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joe was a graduate of Southside High School where he began a lifelong love of drama, music and dance. He worked summers at theme parks while attending college. For several summers he was a part of the Mark Twain Drama cast. Joe's career in entertainment took him from coast to coast in the U.S.A. He worked in New York City, Las Vegas and California. While in Las Vegas he worked at The Venetian. By day he paddled and sang as a gondolier and in the evening he worked on the Celine Dion show. Joe also worked for some time with the Holland America Cruise Line. His last two years were spent in San Francisco. In addition to his entertainment career, Joe was a personal trainer. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:15 p.m. Committal prayers and interment will take place at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.

There are no words to describe my sadness with the loss of one of my favoritie people. Joey, you were my shining star for so many years and I will always be proud of you. I will miss you more than any words can describe, and I send my love to Norma, your wonderful mother and to all of his family members, and to the host of friends you touched throughout your short life. The stars are brighter since you joined them. RIP my dear Joey Conz.

A friend and neighbor. Grew up in the same neighborhood, attended the same schools throughout childhood. Joey always had smile on his face and a song in his heart. Wonderful soul. Dance and sing with the angels Joey. Rest in peace. My condolences to Joeys family. He was a wonderful person.
