Uncle Green Mean Lean, a true gentleman, the epitome of grace, intelligence and honesty. You always knew where you stood with him and although we didn't get to see much of him over the years, I have always held him in the highest regard and with true affection. He will be greatly missed!

Although my memories are few, I remember him being a true gentleman when he would visit us at the US Airways District Office. I enjoyed his dry wit and humor. My sincere condolences to the family.

Leon was an old school "mensch".
As a newcomer to Binghamton in 1987, he and his dear Phyllis always made our young family feel welcome in the Temple Israel community and in the neighborhood.
During his tenure at Roberson Museum, he also mentored the new museum in town - what is known today as the Bundy Museum of History and Art.
He is missed by all of us who knew him!

My deepest regrets to the family of Leon. We worked together for several years at Roberson. He was truly a wonderful person and friend. We lost contact when he moved to NYC, but seeing him once, he was ecstatic that he could be close to his children. He shall always be part of my memory.
