Mildred Folmer Obituary
Mildred Jane (Clark) Folmer, 85, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Elcor Nursing Facility. Daughter of the late Frances (Schoonover) and Arthur Clark, married for 64 years to Richard Folmer who predeceased her on April 28, 2016. She was also predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
Mildred is survived by her children, William Folmer and Rebecca A. (James) Kowulich; grandsons, Joseph and Michael Kowulich; brothers, Fritz (Mary Alice) Clark and Ted (Laurie) Clark; and sister-in-law, Mildred Clark.
Mildred worked at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for 20 years and after retiring she took care of her grandsons until they went to day care. She also spent many Sunday mornings taking care of babies in the nursery at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Mildred was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 209 Gardner Rd, Horseheads, NY 14845 or the North Presbyterian Food Pantry, 921 College Ave, Elmira, NY 14901.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 5 PM to 7 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11 AM. Pastor Richard Hack will officiate. Mildred's tribute wall may be signed at www.olthof.com

I worked with Mildred at the Arnot when I was an aide, and we put in many a night together. I remember she was one of the kindest, and one of the funniest people I ever worked with. I still remember her funny jokes and dry humor! She was truly a great lady.
