Ruth Dean Obituary
Age 83, of Calkins Lane, Wellsboro, PA, passed away November 18, 2009 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Homer F. Dean. Ruth was born October 26, 1926 in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Harold and Irene Wetherbee Campbell. She was a graduate of Wellsboro High School, a retired employee of the former Corning Glass Works and GTE, Wellsboro, and she enjoyed her family and reading. Surviving are her husband, Homer; daughter, Debra K. Ruppert, Wellsboro, PA; son-in-law, Pete Rupert, Wellsboro, PA; sister, Shirley Gonzales, Wellsboro, PA; brother, Donald W. Campbell, Wellsboro, PA; three grandchildren, Corey Dean, Chrissy Tennis and Sabrina Hazelton; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Ruppert and Christian Hazelton; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Dean; and grandson, Shawn Ruppert. There will be no public visitation. A private graveside will be held at the Wellsboro Cemetery with Pastor Richard Herrlin officiating.
