Michael Keating Obituary
As was the custom of the day, he was born in Baltimore on February 1, 1940 to Thomas J. Keating Jr. and Eileen Hope Prosser who resided in Centreville, MD where he spent his childhood. He graduated from St. Andrews School in Middletown, DE and then graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
He began his career in banking but pursued his passion of waterfowl art in the 1980's. He loved to share his extensive knowledge on the subject.
He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Sarah Keating and their son D. Spencer Keating of Centreville, MD and his wife, Mary Llewellyn Keating and their children Karson and Mary.
He also leaves behind his loving daughter, Parker Keating Spurry of Easton, MD and her husband, Joseph C. Spurry, Jr. and their children Stewart and Eliza.
Additionally he leaves behind a son by marriage of Matthew S. Woller of Charlotte, NC and his wife Melissa Woller and their children Reece and Sutton.
He was predeceased by his son Reginald Stewart Keating. His wife Vicki Martin Keating and their children Brittney Azoury and Hunter Martin Keating survive him. Brittney and her husband Said Azoury have given us 3 beautiful great-granddaughters.
He was also predeceased by his brother, Thomas J. Keating IV.
A memorial gathering will be held on May 10, 2023 at 12:30 pm at the home of his daughter in Easton, MD. A family gravesite service will be private.
