Ralph Lanphier Obituary

Ralph W. Lanphier, 81, of Gering, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Heritage Estates in Gering.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 16, at Calvary Memorial Evangelical Free Church in Gering with Pastor Gary Hashley and Pastor Charles Bonds officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering.
There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the church in Ralph's memory.
Online condolences may be left at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com. Jolliffe Funeral Home of Scottsbluff is assisting the family.
Ralph was born Sept. 16, 1929, in Chadron to Ralph H. and Lois (Farnsworth) Lanphier. He graduated from high school in Lingle, Wyo. and went on to serve in the Navy during the Korean War before pursuing his career as a Master Electrician. Ralph was the owner of Ralph's Electric from which he never retired.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; daughter, Sonja Rupp of Oak Harbor, Wash.; son, Winston (Lynn) Lanphier of Chaska, Minn.; brothers, Thad Lanphier of Sun City, Ariz., Bob (Judi) Lanphier of Cabool, Mo., and Gary (Nancy) Lanphier of Lingle, Wyo.; and grandchildren, Dejahleigh, Tabor, Erin, and Colin.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Ralph H. and Lois Lanphier.

I am sorry to hear of Ralph's passing, he did a lot of electrical work for me and I enjoyed talking with him, he was always there to help me. My heart goes out to all of his family.
