PETER DEL VECCHIO Obituary

Peter N. Del Vecchio Beloved husband and father of six, WWII Army veteran, 90 Peter N. Del Vecchio, 90, of Newark, N.J., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Megaro Memorial Home, 503 Union Ave., Belleville, N.J., (megaromemorialhome.com). The Mass is at 11:30 a.m. at St. Lucy's Church, Newark. Interment is in Glendale Cemetery Bloomfield, N.J. Visitation is Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Before his retirement, Mr. Del Vecchio was a salesman for Della Penna Bros. in Nutley, N.J. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Del Vecchio is survived by his wife, Rose (nee Vecchione); sons, Peter and his wife, Theresa; David and his wife, Alberta; John and his wife, Maria; Michael and his wife, MaryAnn, and Angelo and his wife, Sylvia; daughter, Adele Cordasco and her husband, Matthew; sister, Mary Tirone; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Adelaide Del Vecchio, and sister, Tessie Ficacci.

Love and prayers to the entire Del Vecchio family upon the death of your husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Along with Mrs.DelVecchio, Mr. Del Vecchio raised a wonderful family. May Peter rest in peace nd may his family find peace as you mourn his passing to new life. God Bless the Del Vecchio family.
