VIRGIN Richard Virgin Landscape contractor, Korea vet, Nutley resident, 78 Richard Virgin, 78, of Nutley died Sunday, May 25, 2008, at his home. The funeral will be on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley, with a Mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley, at 9:30 a.m. The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born and raised in Evansville, Ind., Mr. Virgin lived in Belleville before moving to Nutley 51 years ago. He was a landscape contractor for 30 years before retiring in 1993. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the Stuart E. Edgar VFW Post 493 in Nutley. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine (Corsaro) Virgin; his children, Belle Ann Montorio and her husband, Daniel, Jeanine Towne and her husband, Marc, and Richard Virgin and his daughter-in-law, Barbara Virgin; grandchildren, Marisa Hayes, Gregory Cross, Jessica Towne, Christina, Steven, Thomas and Paige Virgin. He was also predeceased by a son, Steven T. Virgin Sr.; a grandson, Derek Hayes, and his siblings, Cora Belle, Lily Mae, Lena Mae, Ella, Norman, Harold, George, Fred and Eddie. Please omit flowers.
