FLETCHER EDDENS Obituary

FLETCHER EDDENS

Fletcher Eddens died peacefully Monday, January 14, 2013. He was 87 years old and an unreconstructed Southerner all his life.

He is survived by Barbara, his devoted wife of 63 years and four of his five children. He was preceded in death by his son Curtis. Survivors are Fletcher C. Eddens, Jr., Clifton Hundley Eddens, Ann Eddens and Amy Lee Jeffrey; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Fletcher was very close to his loyal and faithful friend of over 40 years, Bill Wilson.

Fletcher graduated in the upper 5% of his class at Auburn University. While in school he also held membership in several honorary fraternities and Kappa Sigma Social Fraternity.

There will be a brief memorial service at Andrews Mortuary at 1617 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401 at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 17, 2013. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Wilmington, NC.
