My condolences to the family. I had the honor of learning under the great Dr. Marshall. I only knew him as General Marshall. He was my professor for several math classes. He was an intimidating man, but I admired him so much because he made math look so easy. "These are Mickey Mouse problems!" he'd used to say, haha. How I wish I was as smart as he was to see them that way. His best advice was to not memorize how to solve the problem, but to learn how to solve it! His analogy of the bike, how you don't memorize to ride it, but you learn it, because when you learn it, you never forget! I learned of a great man. His name was General Marshall. I shall never forget him.

Gonna miss our early morning sign up at the golf courses, our many conservations about the old neighborhood, civil rights, our adult paths and many adventures. May you Rest In Peace my friend. And condolences to your wonderful family.

I'm grateful that I got a chance to learn from Dr. Marshall and be part of serving the same community he's built and guided with his leadership. Dr. Marshall was a historian, professor, photographer, mentor, and friend. You name it and he had a story and legacy to share. He will be missed immensely by family, friends and the community at large. Sending prayers and my condolences to his wife and family. His presence has been felt and will continue to be revered.

ou know where the house is? Morehouse, is what he use to say. He use to recite poems whether it was an Alpha poem especially since he was our Delta Chapter adviser. One poem has stuck with me for life titled, Gods Minute by Dr. Benjamin Mays.
