I'm so sorry to hear about Michael's passing. My mom told me about it over the weekend and read me the obituary. I remember how nice he was to me when I used to come visit the 19th St. store when I was in college.

DEAR BERNIE,
WHEN WE RETURNED TO AUSTIN WE WERE SO DEEPLY SORRY TO READ OF MICHAEL'S DEATH. MERE WORDS ARE TOTALLY INADEQUATE UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT WE DID WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND AS LONG TIME FRIENDS WISH WE COULD DO MORE THAN SIMPLY SAY HOW REGRETFUL THAT YOU HAVE BEEN VISITED WITH ANOTHER SO PERSONAL AND TRAGIC LOSS.

I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing.
Of what I remember back many years ago when I worked for his wife at Belding Flowers, he was a great guy. Always kind to me as was the whole Hillen family.

We lived next door to Mike on Mustang Chase for 17 years. We especially enjoyed watching him with his pigeons. He would personally deliver flowers when needed. He was a good neighbor. May God bless and comfort his family.
