Valerie A. McDonald Valerie A. McDonald of San Marcos, TX, formerly of Bastrop, TX, cherished and loving, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2008, at the age of 82. She was born on January 21, 1926, in Yorktown, TX, to Joe and Victoria (Styra) Dworaczyk. Her parents, her beloved husband Louis F. McDonald, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons, Thomas L. McDonald and wife Anne of Martindale and children Jill, Tracey and Carrie, James A. McDonald and wife Linda of Las Vegas, NV and children Kim and Joe, and Christopher McDonald and wife Dee Ann of Cedar Park and children Christopher Lee and Sarah; and two great-grandchildren. Before recently moving to San Marcos, Valerie lived the last 45 years in Bastrop. She graduated from high school in Yorktown, TX and later met her husband, Louis in Victoria, TX. Valerie worked for R.W. Byrom in Austin for 25 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 1, 2008, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Austin, with Msg. Fred Bomar, Celebrant. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, at Evergreen Cemetery in Victoria, TX.
