I met Ed in 1978 when we were Deputy DAs in Bend, we worked together for a couple years until he became a Judge. He was a smart guy and a true gentleman above all other attributes. I met his son Locke as a recent new attorney and he was impressive; Kelly & Ed did a good job.

This is the most beautiful tribute I've ever seen. He must have been a wonderful man. God bless you and your family in the midst of great loss.

didn't know Ed, and I don't know you, what I do know is that you shined a light on the man he was in life and your love for him. I was very close to my mother (Shirley Steele), and when she died just before Christmas, I was heartbroken. I wrote her obituary with love. I felt an emotional pull when I read what you wrote. A stranger messaged me to say that they felt they knew her after reading what I wrote. I felt the same when I read your words. Thank you for writing from your heart, I think he would be pleased.
