Larry Vernon Pettry, 75, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021.
He was born May 11, 1946, in Saltville, Va., to the late Zinnus and Dottie Allison Pettry. Larry was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for JCPenney Distribution Center. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Okie Keen Pettry; children, Lori, Richard, Melanie, Anita, David, James (Sandy), Kathy (Rodney), and Sue; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 3, from 2 to 3 p.m., with a service following at 3 p.m., at Troutman Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Troutman Church of God Foodbank, 490 S Main St., Troutman, NC 28166.
