Jean was a treasure -- kind and thoughtful with varied interests. We shared several -- the League of Women Voters, birds, quilts and reading -- to name four. My sympathy goes to her family and many friends.

I really enjoyed our weekly talks and walks with Jean in good weather, coffee and talks in other. Sometimes we referred to ourselves as a pair of Jean(ne)s We miss Jean and plan a memorial celebration here in Clarion on 6/7. You're in our thoughts.

Jean was one of my best friends ever. We converged in Pennsylvania and enjoyed so many day trips together. We always started with a destination in mind, invariably lost our way, and discovered people and places we couldn't have envisioned. We talked and laughed the entire day, came home refreshed. Great friend, great lady, great neighbor.

To Jean's family,
Jean was a strong and thoughtful woman. I learned from her and enjoyed our work together as members of the League of Women Voters of the Stevens Point Area. Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

Jean was a great lady. I was her secretary at Clarion, when she retired. We had some really great times. I am the one that sent the Christmas ornaments to her.

I always liked and respected Mrs. Rumsey very much. She was a kind and wise person. Good sense of humor, and a good listener too. In fact I am still a UU today, which may have pleased her. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to Mary and the whole family.
