Gertrude A. "Trudy" Husmann

Husmann, Gertrude A. 'Trudy' fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Wed., Dec. 4, 2007. Beloved wife for 54 years of the late George A. Husmann, and loving mother of John L. Husmann; dear sister of Wanda Melnyk; aunt of Wanda Grumet and Buddy; dearest sister-in-law of Larelda Wedemeier and the late Kenneth Wedemeier; our dear aunt, great-aunt and friend. After meeting George in her native Vienna, Austria during his service in WW II, Trudy returned with him to St. Louis. Beginning work as a seamstress at downtown Sonnenfeld's, Trudy later became a department manager for the old South Town Famous-Barr, and then for the grand opening of the new South County Famous-Barr after which she left to raise her family. Trudy took great joy in her hobbies of cooking, boating and caring for her beloved Collies and black Labradors. Her engaging charm and warmth will be missed by all that knew her.Services: 8:30 a.m. Monday, from JOHN L.
