Michael Hart Obituary

Hart, Michael B. After a brief illness, Michael B. Hart died on Sunday, April 20, 2014. Michael was born on October 14, 1959, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of James and Carroll Hart. Michael was the husband of Marilyn Hart, father of Adam and Daniel, and grandfather to Charles. His family and faith were the anchors of his life. Michael leaves a legacy of kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. His sons were a source of joy and pride, as he watched them become men with values and integrity. They shared many passions including nature, gardening, literature, and music. Michael received his Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Missouri- St. Louis and Masters of Divinity from Concordia Seminary. Michael served the congregations of Zion, Litchfield, IL; Concordia, Granite City, IL; St. Matthew, St. Charles, MN, and Our Savior, Mankato, MN. His life reflected our Lord's care for the sick, aged, meek and hurting. Michael was called home on Easter Sunday, a reminder of Jesus' resurrection for all believers in Christ. Michael strove to error in grace, perceiving human actions in the best context, reflecting God's agape love. In memory of Michael and in lieu of flowers or donations, unexpectedly treat someone with kindness.

I loved my Uncle Mike so much. He always made people smile and laugh. He was a memorable person who would never make you frown. Uncle Mike is my favorite uncle. His laugh would always make you smile.

Mike was my hero. Because of him, I know that I have eternal salvation through Christ. He was the most humble and Godly man I have ever known. He joyfully baptized my children. He was confident in my faith when it was tested. He always stuck up for me. No wife has ever been loved the way he loved Marilyn. The world will never be the same without him. I was so blessed to have known him. I know that his acts made the angels sing and dance and satan cry. Marilyn and her sons are in my prayers.
