I met Mike as a member of a grief support group. We all appreciated Mike's willingness to share, to be vulnerable and to laugh. He also taught me that one of the best meeting places for the group was the cafeteria of a local hospital. With enthusiasm he highlighted all the benefits of this locale, his suggestion was so compelling, the group continues to meet there. Mike also had great appreciation for John Deere tractors, as I do because they are made in my hometown. Mike you are missed; let your soul be at rest and peace.

I will miss my best friend and one of the most giving, caring people in the world. He was a wonderful friend, my wingman, a business partner, and I considered him my brother. His greatest joys in life were "Deliberate Acts of Kindness" to everyone around him. May he rest in peace and enjoy the comforts of heaven.

I worked with Mike at H&C and also encountered him at the Carmelite Novena. He was having a great time parking cars and a singing group I am in was providing the liturgical music. At the end of Mass he came running down the grass showering us with praise.
Mike was a painter of grace, covering the world and everyone. I am so proud to be his friend eternally.

Mike acted as a back-up caregiver for my wife Linda. When Mike came over to meet her for the first time, she was completely at ease with him. She needed him only a couple of times but we were both confident if I were not available, he would move heaven and earth to get to her aid. I have never known a man who was this selfless and caring. He will be desperately missed but I have no doubt that today he has found peace in the presence of Jesus.

Tom, Cindy and Dan,
I am so sorry to hear about Mike passing away. He was a super guy who was always eager to please and lend a hand or help out any way he could. We would get together for dinner (and a few beers) whenever I returned to STL for a visit. I will miss his company. - Sincerely SPK

Mike was generous, kind, sincere, hardworking and truly a gentle man and a gentleman. He would do anything for you - anything - and when you tried to thank him, he would instead thank you for letting him help. He was a gem. I was lucky enough to cross paths with him when working at H&C - I will always remember that big smile, equally big sweetness ... and his ability to fix anything. A good man taken way too soon.

Mike was such a kind and gentle soul. I hate that we say things like this about a man after he passes and not, to his face, everyday. He was always so happy to help anyone who asked and will be so dearly missed by those that got to know him. For the entire Chaminade Alumni Association I thank you Mike for all you have done for us and pray you have peace now with our Father. I am horribly saddened for the Hoover Family and will pray for each you. Please take care of each other and let us know if there is anything we can do!

My family and I have been blessed to know Mike. As kids we thought he was the coolest person, especially when he would build his "Hoover Fires" at our camp outs. He will truly be missed and always in our thoughts and prayers.

Mike and I met working at NCR. He loved the fact that I too was a Kickham as he was married to one. He loved to ask me questions like, "Do you Kickham's just eat all day long?! Ann does too..." All of us as young salespeople delighted in taking long lunches and sometimes we could persuade Mike to go with us. He was a sweetheart. Sorry I didn't get to see more of you Mike but so glad I at least got to spend part of my life knowing you.

I am both shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I am former neighbor of Mike (and Ann). He was a GREAT guy, and I have missed him being my neighbor. Fortunately he stayed in touch with another neighbor of ours that is also a good friend of his, and I got to see and talk with Mike a couple of times a year still. He was one of a kind, and will surely be missed by many! Until we meet again...

Michael was a kind and gentle soul who was dedicated to his alma mater. I first met him when I came to work at Chamiande 15 years ago and soon leanred he was the "go to" guy when I needed help with phonathons. He was a co-chair for years and his kindness was evident in the calls he made to our older alums. he bacame my friend and I will miss him as will his classmates and the entire Chaminade Family. Godspeed michael, may you rest in peace.

Cyndi, Tom and Dan - So sorry to hear about your brother. I have so many wonderful memories of the times we all spent together growing up, at the lake, the trip to Disneyworld, and visits to St. Louis. I kept in touch with him over the years, seeing him just last year on our last trip to St. Louis. He will truely be missed.
