Victor Mattison Obituary

Mattison, Victor A., Jr. 77, a long-time resident of Manchester, MO died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Delmar Gardens of Chesterfield nursing home. Loving father of five children, Victor III (Laurie), Stephen (Heidi), Gregory (Kristi), Jeffrey and Elaine (Jeremy) Sipos; adoring grandfather of Kyle, Reagan, Parker, Macy, Lyla, and Drew; dear brother of Marilyn Strakey; former husband of Shirley Cole Mattison; and special relative to many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born in Chicago, IL on April 7, 1930. He was the son of the late Victor and Kathleen (Golding) Mattison of Bennington, VT. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1953 where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and performed throughout the world with the Purdue Glee Club. After being graduated he served in the United States Army from 1954-56. He was the President of Universal Precision Instruments, Inc. in St. Louis. He loved music and his interest in travel took him throughout the world. He was a member of Bonhomme Presbyterian Church in Chesterfield since moving to St. Louis in 1974 and grew up as a member of the Bryn Mawr Community Church in Chicago.Services: Services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis on July 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM.
