John Waby Obituary

WABY Waby, John Charles, 73, of Lakeland, FL passed away July 29, 2002 at the Highland Lake Center. Born February 20, 1929 in Lorain, OH he moved to Lakeland from Pompano Beach 15 years ago. He was a Fireman Lt. for the Pompano Beach Fire Department, retiring in 1974. A member of Southside Assembly of God Church, Lakeland and a member of Florida Firefighters Association. Memorials may be made to Life Path Hospice, 1037 S. Florida Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33803. Surviving are his wife, Sidney Goodrich Waby; son, John L. Waby of Baltimore, MD; daughters, Jennifer Michael of Lake Worth and Jackie Lieberman of Atlanta, GA; mother, Naomi Waby of Norwalk, OH; brothers, Robert Waby of Orlando, David Waby of Kennebunk, ME; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services Thursday, August 1, 2002, 1:00 PM at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach, FL. HEATH FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 863-682-0111.
