Marjorie Sweetman Obituary

Sweetman, Marjorie (Knight), 77, long time resident of Davie, Florida, formerly of Cumberland, R.I. passed away peacefully on October 17, 2011 with her children at her side, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Marge was the adoring wife of the late William T. Sweetman, Sr. who died September 19, 2011. Marge "Grammy" is survived by her children, William T. Sweetman, Jr; Rodney and Denise Sweetman, Rebecca Schofield and Edmund and Alicia Sweetman; her grandchildren, Sarah Sweetman, Amy Dorfman, Michelle Dorfman, Nicholas Sweetman, Zachary Sweetman, Rachel Sweetman and Abagail Schofield. Also survived by her sister Lucy Almeida, brother-in-law Tony Almeida and sister in law Elsie Hooper and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held for both William and Marjorie on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Four Corners Community Chapel, 200 Angell Rd. Cumberland, RI. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to either the National Parkinson Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Just learned of the loss of Bill & Marge. My deepest sympathies and condolences to family and friends. Sorry for your loss. Had the pleasure of working with Bill in the late 1970s, became good friends and kept in touch over the years.
