I remember playing with Ray, Jimmy and Steve when my brother and I were kids. I played baseball with Ray from little league on up through high school. He was a good guy. He always had a smile and a laugh at just the right time. May GOD bless his family and give them perfect peace at this time.

CDR Engblom,
Our Army, Coast Guard and nation were made better by your service. Your advice to me in our short time has proven valueable beyond measure.
To your family - Ray made a positive difference, and I am proud to know him.

I only got to meet Ray recently, at work, though he will be extremely missed. We started working in DC at the same time and ofter commuted together. He was always ready to share advice and give guidance. He was a fun guy to interact and exchange ideas with.

May the Lord God give his family and friends comfort during this time.
