Russell Drewry Obituary
Russell "Pops" Owen Drewry, 63, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in his home. He was a construction worker, loved hunting and fishing, he never met a stranger and dearly loved his grandchildren. He was a member of Liberty Fellowship Church. He was born May 21, 1958 in Van Buren, AR to the late Clifton "CJ" and Dorothy (Reynolds) Drewry. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Jean Blythe; grandson, Christian Cecil and two great grandsons, Grayson and Christian Stroud.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 6, 2021 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Yoestown Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Drewry of the home; daughters, Christy Hobson and wife Tiffany of Muldrow and Angela Cox and husband Patrick of Alma; son, Jerry Cecil and wife Missy of Yoestown; daughters, Chelsea Kemph of Paris, Amanda Carson of Alma and Melissa Newton and husband James of Van Buren; sisters, Donnita Pardue and Loretta Pardue both of Yoestown; 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Hobson, Sam Collette, Denver Wimberly, Patrick Cox, Dusty Hobson, Shawn Hobson, Jerry Cecil and Bill Hoover.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and Daniel Breeden.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening, June 6, 2021 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
