Brenda Warden Obituary

Brenda Joyce (Hushour) Warden

October 4, 1941 - March 27, 2023

The world lost a beloved wife and mother when Brenda Joyce Warden (nee Hushour), age 81, died peacefully at home in League City, Texas, on Monday, March 27, 2023. Joyce had a wonderful sense of humor, incredible kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She was one of the most beautiful people you would ever meet.

Born in Rural Retreat, Virginia, on October 4, 1941, to Walter and DeLois Hushour, Joyce was the second of three children and the only girl. She married her husband Donald J. Warden of Moscow, Ohio, in 1965 and they lived in Alaska before settling in Texas in 1966.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rex Hushour. Joyce is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Warden; daughters and their husbands, Paula and Stephen Hawkins of League City, Texas, and Pamela and Nathan Juett of Walton, Kentucky; brother, Roger Hushour and his wife, Carolyn, of Woodbridge, California; nephews, Jeff Hushour, Jason Hushour, and Andrew Hushour; and many more beloved family and friends.

Visitation was held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, Texas, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 1 until 2 p.m. Graveside services immediately followed at 2 p.m. at the Forest Park East Cemetery.
