TO THE GREATEST GRANDAD EVER,
I KNOW THEY SAY TIME CAN HEAL ANY WOUND, BUT IT SEEMS THE MORE TIME THAT PASSES BY THE MORE MY HEART LONGS TO SEE YOU AGAIN. YOU ALWAYS SAY THAT WE CAN'T QUESTION THE LORD, BUT WE DID NOT EXPECT ONE DAY WE HAD TO TAKE THAT ADVISE TO HEAL. I AM THANKFUL I GOT THE CHANCE TO ALWAYS TELL YOU JUST HOW MUCH YOU MEANT TO ME, AND EVEN THE TIMES WHERE I HELD YOU TIGHT WITH A HUG AND SMELLED YOU, IT FILLED MY SOUL WITH PEACE SO WHEN I WENT BACK OUT IN THE WORLD, I KNEW THERE WOULD NEVER BE A PROBLEM TO BIG, OR TOO SMALL. I MISS SHARING MY THOUGHTS WITH YOU GRANDAD, YOU WERE SO FAIR AND SINCERE, MY BIGGEST FEAR IS NEVER MEETING A MAN AGAIN IN MY LIFE THAT COULD BE HALF OF WHAT YOU ARE. I'VE CRIED MANY CRIES AND THOUGHT MANY THOUGHTS AND THE ONLY THING THAT CALMS MY SOUL IS TO HEAR YOUR VOICE TELLING ME WHEN THE GOOD LORD COMES, YOU'LL BE READY. I KNOW NOW, MORE THAN I KNEW THEN IT WOULD NOT BE FOREVER. I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH AND I WILL TRY AND FILL MY VOID WITH ALL THE MEMORIES I HAVE NOW AND YET TO COME, THE KIDS ARE DOING FINE, BUT THEY MISS YOU TOO. WE ALL WENT TO YOUR GRAVE SITE OVER THE WEEKEND, AND IT WAS HARD GRANDAD, IT WAS HARD TO TALK TO YOU AND YOU NOT ANSWER ME BACK SAYING EVERYTHING WILL BE OK. I KNOW YOUR LOOKING DOWN ON ME SO I PRAY YOU HELP GOD TO FINISH TEACHING ME WHERE YOU LEFT OFF ON EARTH, AND NEVER LEAVE ME GRANDAD I WILL ALWAYS NEED YOU IF NOT IN THE PHYSICAL, BUT AT THE LEAST IN SPIRIT. LOVE YOU ALWAYS & FOREVER, YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER KAPRENA & FAMILY

TO MY FATHER WHO I KNOW IS IN HEAVEN ALONG SIDE HIS FATHER. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH OF A VOID THAT I HAVE IN MY HEART. WHEN YOU DECIDED TO LEAVE US ON THAT SUNDAY AFTERNOON, A PART OF ME LEFT WITH YOU. IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. I KNOW YOU ARE ALWAYS SAYING THAT IF THE GOOD LORD CALL YOU HOME, THAT YOU ARE READY, THIS I TRULY BELIVE AND HAVE NO DOUBT. WHILE I SAT IN THE HOSPITAL ROOM WITH YOU, DAY AFTER DAY AND NIGHT AFTER NIGHT, I GUESS YOU CAN SAY THE LORD WAS GETTING ME READY TO ACCEPT WHAT I CANNOT CHANGE AND TO LIVE WITH WHAT I HAVE TO LIVE WITH. I SAT THERE SOME NIGHTS TALKING TO YOU AND I KNEW YOU UNDERSTOOD AND HEARD ME. SOMETIMES, YOU WOULD NOD YOUR HEAD TO LET ME KNOW YOU UNDERSTOOD AND A FEW TIMES, I HEARD YOU CALL FOR BRIDGET AND HONK, I KNEW THEY WERE COMING FOR YOU, BUT I WAS TELLING YOU THAT IT IS NOT TIME AND YOU CANNOT LEAVE ME, ALTHOUGH YOU SAY YOU WILL STAY, I KNOW NOW THAT THIS WAS ALL PART OF GOD'S PLAN. FROM THE FIRST DAY THAT I MADE MY VACATION PLAN ALMOST 7 MONTHS EARLIER TO THE LAST DAY OF YOUR LIFE HERE, I WAS ABLE TO TELL YOU JUST ABOUT EVERY DAY, THAT I LOVE YOU, AND YOU TOO, WILL TELL ME THAT YOU LOVE ME TOO....;DADDY I MISS YOU SO....MUCH....AND I KNOW UNTIL I SEE YOU AGAIN, THIS VOID IN MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE FILLED....LOVE YOUR DAUGHTER MINNIE.

Deborah, I know that there is truly comfort and deliverance through Jesus Christ. Because I've had to endure the same type of grief with my mother's passing, I'm a "living" witness that God will take care of his children. Continue being the "strong" Christian that I know you are.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Deborah- I am truly sorry to hear of your father's passing. Just as you offered words of comfort to me in March, 2007 when my brother passed away, I offer my heartfelt condolences and prayer that in time the pain in your heart will be filled with sweet memories of your father. I also pray that Ms. Maggie and the rest of your family will be surrounded with love and support.

As my heart hurts day after day, and I havent seen you since my wedding, the smile on your face and your words to me I will neever forget. The world has lost and our family has lost a Great Man, a Wonderful Grandfather, Husband and Dad. My grandfather is so Humble, Proud, Strong, Thoughful, Sweet and Kind Hearted. He never said a harsh word about anyone. He is so so forgiving and never holds any anger at all. My grandfther was and stll is a Great Man. as I sit here writing my expressions of my grandfather,I cry and my hands are shaking because I want you back and I know I cant have you. So as your words would say " GAL STOP ALL THAT CRYING IT WAS MY TIME TO GO" I love you so much as you raised me from a baby into a woman you are my father and I will miss you Great Man. Grandaddy, I ask the question why lord why my grandaddy and knowing what you will say " WELL KIWANDA YOU NEVER QUESTION THE LORD" I KNOW GRANDADDY... Auntie Maggie and family,
Since we have just lost a loved one recently, only one who has lost a love one can know the tragedy of this loss. Although sympathy is a small consolation, even from the hearts of us who share your sorrow, we want you to know how deeply your loss is felt here. You have the courage, we know, that you will need to face the days ahead. May we send you and the family our deepest sympathy at this time and say that our thoughts and prayers have been with you since we heard of the passing of our Uncle Theodore (Po-Boy). May the memories of your husband and father be the source of your comfort and may you all find comfort in knowing that we care.
With sincere sympathy,
The Collins Family,
Sandra Jenkins

My deepest sympathy to the Jenkins Family. I'll always remember that Mr Jenkins was a good man to all. I still think about the time he use to ride all of us in the back of his truck when I was a little girl. What a great joy to me.
Love to you all,
