Diane Grotke

GROTKE, Diane Louise, passed away October 10, 2004, in New York City. Diane grew up in Tampa and graduated from Plant High School. She moved to New York to pursue her goals in the performing arts. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Grotke-Nichols. She is survived by her parents, Robert H. and Dorothy M. Grotke; her brothers, Robert H. Grotke Jr. and Richard J. Grotke; her partner in life, Michael Fussell; and her godson Wesley Oldt. Diane was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and was represented by the William Morris Agency. She worked in theater, dance, television and film. She was awarded an Obie for her perfomance in an off-Broadway production. She formed the performance troupe "Yo MaMa," which toured Brazil. Diane was a bright light who warmed the hearts of all whose lives she touched. She was loved and will be missed by all her friends and family. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. November 19, 2004, at Christ the King Chapel, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy.
