At 53 years of age, Jose passed away Sunday Nov. 11th at the Mass. Gen. Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness. Born in Patillas Puerto Rico he was one of nine children given to the union of Inocencia Morales of Chelsea and the late Regino Arroyo, Sr. He resided in Chelsea as a young boy and attended local schools. He returned to Puerto Rico to complete his formal education. He worked in the masonry construction field as a general laborer and assistant mason. He returned to the area and has been residing in East Boston for the past 10 years. In his lifetime Jose enjoyed fishing, playing baseball and pick-up basketball games with friends. Jose is survived by his beloved life companion, Maria Gomez of East Boston. He was the devoted father of Kayla Arroyo and Emmanuel Arroyo-Santana both of Florida. Loving son of Inocencia Morales of Chelsea and the late Regino Arroyo Sr. Dear brother Hector Arroyo, Eulalia Arroyo, Emerita Arroyo, Ernesto Arroyo, Rafael Arroyo, Orlando Arroyo, Regina Arroyo, Jr. and Iris Arroyo. Also survived by many extended family members and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are most kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Thursday November 15th from 4 - 8 P.M. Funeral Home fully handicap accessible, ample parking opposite Funeral Home.
