Monroe COOGLER

COOGLER, Monroe Alvin Jr. died at home on July 15, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Martha Jo Coogler; his daughters, Kindy Hensler (Raymond) of Nashville, TN and Ginny Clougherty (Chris) of Frisco, TX; and four grandchildren, Carson and Harper, Greyson and Declan. He is survived also by his sister, Judy Parker (Kenneth Parker); and brother, John B. Coogler (Marilyn Coogler); nieces, and nephews, Chy Holman (Nick), Jason Coogler (Denise), Stephanie Blair (Ken), Ryan Coogler (Amy) and several grand neices and nephews in Virginia, California and Tennessee. Affectionally known as "AL", Mr. Coogler had a long life of love, laughter and service to his family, friends, community and country. Born January 15, 1939, in Brooksville, Florida, the son of the late Monroe A. Coogler Sr. and Rosalie L. Coogler, his families Florida roots predating the civil war. He attended University of Florida, was a decorated U.S. Air Force veteran and graduated with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1969. Al Coogler was a very active leader in every community in which he lived throughout his life. He founded a distinguished law practice in West Palm Beach and served on numerous boards and commissions even after retiring to Lecanto, FL. Private military graveside services have been arranged at Brooksville cemetery by Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for August 4, 2022 at the Black Diamond Ranch Clubhouse in Lecanto, FL from 12-3:30 pm.
