Florence Paddy (Burns) Brazil, 83, wife of the late Henry A. Brazil Jr., of Raynham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, January 12, 2017. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., Paddy was the daughter of the late James and Minnie (Outhouse) Burns. Growing up the daughter of the great Coach Burns, Paddy was an avid sports fan and particularly loved the Coyle Cassidy High School and Notre Dame College football teams, whom shed cheer on wholeheartedly with her sister, Sister Mary Catherine Burns. Paddy was a lover of animals, especially her cats. Paddy also enjoyed all things crafty: ceramics, knitting and cross-stitch. She particularly loved her Friday afternoons at the Raynham Senior Center sharing in these activities with friends from the community. She also enjoyed Sunday breakfast at her granddaughter Jennifers home, Friday afternoon rides with her son-in-law, Ron, and her daily visits from her daughter, Kathy. Most of all, she loved every moment she was able to share with her 19-month-old great-granddaughter, Olivia. Paddy is survived by her sister, Sister Mary Catherine Burns of Taunton, her children Kathleen Lewis and her husband Ronald of Bridgewater, Patricia Robinson and her husband Bruce of Lakeville, and her son, Michael Brazil; several grandchildren including Jennifer Pimental and her husband Ryan of Bridgewater; and her great-granddaughter, Olivia. Funeral from the OKeefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday, January 17th, at 9 am. A Mass will be held at St. Anns Church in Raynham at 10 am. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4 - 7 pm. Interment St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
