Frank J. Pirozzi

It is with great sorrow that the family of Frank J. Pirozzi announce the passing of their beloved husband and father. A lifelong resident of Taunton, Frank passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 17 2018. Born in Taunton, Frank was the son of Frank and Evelyn (Mitchell) Pirozzi. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army, having served in the 89th reconnaissance troop in Europe during World War II. Frank owned and operated a Gulf Service Station in Raynham for many years and completed his career working as a mechanic for the TMLP. After retirement he volunteered for the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Frank was an avid sailor and member of the Shawomet Yacht Club. He loved garde- ning, camping and all outdoor activities. He was known for his generous and caring nature and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Wilma (Leonard) Pirozzi and his children, Maria Pirozzi-Riley and her husband Ric Riley, Robert Pirozzi and partner Denise Paiva, and Joseph Pirozzi and partner Marilyn Rhude. He also leaves his brother James Pirozzi of Raynham and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Evelyn (Pirozzi) Barkan and his brother Charles Pirozzi, Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 21st, 8:30am-10:30am at the Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home on Somerset Avenue. Followed by services at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 11 Kilmer Ave., Taunton at 11:00. Burial will be private.
