To Marita's loving family. I am sorry I did not know Marita was ill. She and I go back many years but the last 15 we lost contact. I will always remember her and the boys with the fondest of memories. My son Richard always spoke so highly of Marita and enjoyed hanging with the "boys". She was a good friend, mother, and had a good heart. Life takes us and moves us around but what remains are those memories we will cherish. I am sadden to read this news and it just shows us life is fragile. We never want to lose those who leave a lasting imprint in our lives. Marita was that kind of special woman. To Justin and Adam, please find solace in knowing that you had a wonderful loving mother and she will be missed by all.
My sincerest condolences,
Ms. Adrienne S. Jenkins

What a wonderful person she was. She was fun, caring, inspirational, among other things...every time I saw her she was always positive. Marita will be missed deeply. And to her family, I am so very sorry for your loss.

There are no words my friend. I thought you would outlive us all. Your strength and honesty were immeasurable. When things got tough, you got tougher. You showed me that I could raise my kids on my own and they would be OK from your example. Justin and Adam are so gifted and wonderful. You were truly blessed. I, no we, will all miss you so Marita. You left more love than you could possibly imagine. Forever yours, Chica, Jimmy and Sabi.
