RITA CHARLOTT E GRAINGER Rita Charlotte Grainger nee Barrett, age 70, died October 5, 2007, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. She was born in Lewisham Road, Brockley, England, raised in Wigton, Scotland. Rita lived in Sebastian and Vero Beach for over 30 years, coming from Chicago, IL, via Fort Lauderdale, FL. Donald and Rita were married September 5, 1957 at the American Embassy, London, England. Survivors include her husband Donald H. Grainger of Vero Beach, son Mitchell Grainger of Andros Island, Bahama, son Gregory Allan and Mary Grainger of Winter Beach, FL, brother Allan Barrett and (wife) Daphany, brother Ian Barrett of Hyde Park, London, England; grandchildren Jason Grainger Sgt. USMC, Bagdad, Christopher Grainger, Keith Grainger, Samantha Grainger of Winter Beach, FL; nieces Rosemarie Barrett of Congo, Patricia (Barrett) Cox of London, Roger Barrett of Cambridge, England. Services will be private. For those wishing to make a contribution, buy someone you love dinner.

My heart is saddened. Rita was one of the kindest, strongest people I know and a truly devoted wife, mother & grandmother.
