Victoria Minior Obituary
DOUGLAS - Victoria C. "Vicky" (Kwiecinski) Minior, 90, passed away peacefully on Sun. Nov. 8, 2015 at Milford Regional Med. Ctr. in the presence of her family. Vicky was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Thaddeus G. Minior Sr. in 2008.
Vicky leaves behind two sons, Thaddeus Jr. and his wife Mary of Atkinson, NH, William and his wife Shirley of Douglas, and daughter Rosemary (Rose) Walker of Northbridge. She also leaves a sister Gladys Grochowski of Woodstock; 5 grandchildren: Kerry Croce, and her husband Matt and, great grandchildren Emma and Drew of Sterling; Michael Minior and his wife Kristy, and granddaughter Savannah of Tega Cay, SC; William Minior and his wife Jackie of Littleton, MA; Ryan Minior, and his wife Stephanie and, great grandchildren Eavan and Nolan of Denver, CO; and Robbie Minior and great grandson Robbie of Thompson. She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Vicky was born in Dudley on April 6, 1925 and was raised on the Kwienciski dairy farm in Dudley and worked through her adult life at various factories located in Oxford, Douglas, and Uxbridge.
Beyond family, her true joys in life were her hobbies of crocheting and gardening. It brought her great pleasure to donate her hand-made doilies and homegrown vegetables to the St. Denis Parish in Douglas. She also excelled in cooking her family's two favorite polish foods, pierogi and golumbki.
Her funeral will be held on Sat. Nov. 14 from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Denis Church, 23 Manchaug St. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Fri. Nov. 13 from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Victoria's memory may be made to St. Denis Church, 23 Manchaug St., Douglas, MA 01516. She was always happy to see us, we would pop in on her while we were out walking, of course most of the time she was out in her garden, or just walking around her yard. Definately going to miss her. ♡
