Helen Gross Obituary
Helen was born in Wellsboro, PA on 12 May, 1934, to Stuart and Marie (Simerson) Wheeler. She was married to the late James Gross. Helen and Jim were married for 63 years until he passed in 2013. Helen's passions were her children and grandchildren. Her favorite past times were watching them participate in the sport of the season or visiting with them around the kitchen table.
We will remember her as our champion. She was always here for us, sharing in our successes and supporting us through our hardships. She taught us to be strong and persevere. We will carry her in our hearts and never be truly without her.
Helen is survived by her daughters Cheryl Byrd (Craig) and Renata Gross, grandchildren Craig Allan Byrd, Corey Byrd, Casey Byrd, Chris Byrd, Adam Gross, Gerry Gross, Matthew Gross, Tyler Gross, Evan Gross and Olivia Gross, several great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons Terry and Gerry Gross.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Salvation Army, 32 Denison Parkway East, Corning NY 14830. Arrangements are with Phillips Funeral Home.
