Dorothy Neugent Stevens

LAFAYETTE - A Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Dorothy Lucille Neugent Stevens, 91, who passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at her daughter's home in Rayne.

Visitation will be observed on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.

Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.

Reverend Dr. Steve Horn, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Lafayette, will officiate. Vocalist will be Brother Luther Burney.

Dorothy was born February 5, 1925 in Talco, TX and was a resident of Lafayette for 55 years. She graduated from USL. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church in Lafayette and the Daybreak Sunday School Class.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Smith and her husband, Roy of Rayne; three sons, Robert Stevens and his wife, Jeani of Youngsville, Jim Stevens and his wife, Carole of Odessa, TX and David Stevens and his wife, Lisa of The Woodlands, TX; three sisters, Rosemary Boggs and her husband, Bill of Fort Towson, OK, Linda Blackwood and her husband, Jack of Ardmore, OK and Martha Stolfa and her husband, John of Ardmore, OK; one brother, Tommy Neugent and his wife, Jackie of Hurst, TX; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and numerous dear nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Edgar M. Stevens; her parents, Nolan and Zela Neugent and two brothers, Carlos and Roger Neugent.
